G+ Notification Help!

Hey YTtalk! I occasionally get notifications telling me that one of my subscriptions has uploaded a video.
I am wondering how I can enable this feature. Or is it automatically enabled?

I get those every now and then.
I figure it must be automatic otherwise everybody would be using it and I'll happen more often than every other day.
I wish I could turn it off, since I use an RSS feed to watch videos. I don't need this as well.

I've never knowingly added anybody to G+.
I presume youtube has tricked me into it a few times, but I've not used it myself.

Hmm, thats the only thing I could come up with as to why you get those kind of notifications.
