Funny is subjective. One person might tell you that you're hilarious, whilst someone else thinks you're duller than dishwater.

I'm going to paraphrase something I read once on a comedy advice guide (this was for stand up): 'comedians know they are funny, but they don't laugh at their own jokes.'

It makes sense: if you don't think people will laugh at what you say, then perhaps you shouldn't say it. I guess that's how you know if you're funny!

If the fans tell you that you're funny, then you're funny. I usually laugh at my videos, and i just hope that other people will laugh there too, because i laugh at almost everything, i mean i must be doing something right.

This is absolutely true. In fact, comedians are the *hardest* to get to laugh at anything. It's not a matter of knowing what's "funny" (which is completely subjective depending on the context and audience), it's that they understand the common constructs of a joke and can determine if it's being implemented well for maximum surprise.

The same analogy could be said for magicians. The audience can be wowed by the simplest of things as long as it's being presented competently. Other magicians will be able to see the trick from a mile away and know exactly how it's done. It's this internal assessment that separates the professionals from the amateurs.

If you don't know why people find you funny (or why they don't), then it's nearly impossible to improve and be consistent in your humor. Stand-up comics normally learn this over a period of *years* of trial and error. But when things finally click and you understand exactly what and why you construct bits the way you do, the sky's the limit.

Good topic. I think funny comes down to an opinion.

Not everyone will like you or find your comedy sense the same as theirs.

But dont let that get you down, because you cant make everyone laugh

Sometimes a good joke hits, and sometimes a great joke doesn't.

Just keep doing you.

I get hate on my channel for what I think is a great joke, then i get tons of laughs for what i think is my weakest joke. But i keep it going.

Dont let it discourage you
