Fullscreen.

Okay so have you guys may have noticed, Fullscreen has been accepting a lot of people on the forums. And it's saddening to see that every time there is a thread about someone being super happy that they got accepted, there are always people who say "they are accepting everyone now. They're like AwesomenessTV/RMP (or whatever it is)." Like, can you guys just be happy for them!? It's saddening that people are somewhat telling the person that they just got accepted to a 'crappy' network. Or so it sounds like anyway. I was just accepted to Fullscreen as well a few days before everyone else started so it's kinda like, 'did I make a mistake?' But then again, I don't really mind too much, because in 2 years when the contract is over, I can just join a different network if Fullscreen goes downhill.

But for those who just recently got accepted, I am truly happy for you and I think others should be as well! It just makes me really sad ): Sorry for the vent. I am not pointing fingers at anyone, but I really think we should just all be happy for someones Milestone!!!! It's always nice to see someone on the forums (in the family) go far :)
Well I'm sorry. I like saying the thruth. Warning people that the network will probably give than less support from now on.

I'm a happy person. Yes I can be happy for people. I still congrats them.

I don't think people have bad intentions, but it's like if someone told you they just got a really bad deal. They didn't know it was a really bad deal. You can't just be like "OMG! That's great". So you tell them some of the facts you know that they didn't. Which is why I came to this site. To learn about which networks suck. Which of them are good or bad (even if I personally don't want to sign with any at-least for now). But these young ones are so passionate about being signed with a network because they want to brag about it to their friends and they think a network is gonna provide all this help for them and make their channel take off and become sorta YouTube famous that they don't check out the network before signing and they also ask if it was a good network AFTER they signed and by then, it's too late. Even more so if you signed a long term contract. So when they when they post Yay I just signed with (insert bad network) it's kinda hard to just turn a blind eye and say congrats.

And when a channel has like 20 subs and 500 views, yes I say to them thats its because they are accepting everyone.
Come on....lets be real here.....[DOUBLEPOST=1370580637,1370580576][/DOUBLEPOST]

Exactly.

Personally, I don't really understand why people celebrate joining a network?

"Guys, I just got a contract with a network at a phenomenal split", sure. "Guys, I got into X network..." So?

Not trying to be dismissive. I just don't understand what the excitement is about.
I guess it gives a feeling of approval. Your channel is now valid to the point where a network wants to support you.
Of course, when they are accepting everyone they can't really support you.

I agree with you. I think it was more exciting when you got features like banners on the background. Now that is something worth celebrating about, but now since there really isn't many partner features vs. non partner features theres really nothing much to celebrate about haha.

It's because people think it's gonna jump start their YouTube carer. You have to admit call these groups "networks" is very deceptive. It makes you think that they are going to help you link with other people and you're going to be linked in this group of others with access to collab. What they don't realize is that . . . it's not true. You get some benefits but it's not what people think of when they hear network.

I agree with that. A company is saying that they approve your content and that they wouldn't mind working with you. Much like a job in some ways.
