Ok I finally got contacted by somebody I trust about my video since I already belong to them, Fullscreen... They were talking about protecting my video... WTF is going on? LOL! Somebody popular must have shared my video somewhere or something.

Haha that's crazy!

I wonder what they meant by protecting your video? Setting up virtual riot shields? I reckon they mean protect it from people re uploading it, but not sure. =) Awesome work!

Well whoever these douche bags are stole my alternate version that I uploaded to a different site. I can't really do anything that I know of since they didn't steal the exact video that's on Youtube, but it's obviously my dog. I looked at multiple channels that copied the other video and their whole channels consist of videos directly from the site I uploaded to. I guess they just steal other content from the web and upload it as their own. I wonder what I could do if for some reason one of the alternate videos of my dog got millions of views.

I hate people like that! Lazy mongrels...

As far as I'm aware you should be able to file DMCA against them - even if it wasn't originally uploaded on YouTube. On my other channel I had some people who had downloaded my videos - stripped them of their channel branding and my voice over - and re uploaded them to their own channel, monetized. I filed a DMCA with YouTube saying that they'd 'Reuploaded my videos' and they were taken down in a couple hours.

YouTube DMCA isn't "YouTube Only" - you still own the copyright to that alternate clip. It would be like someone uploading full episodes of a television program (which people still manage to do however) - it wasn't aired on YouTube originally - but the original content creators could take it down if they wanted.

*EDIT

By the way, RHETT AND LINK!!! YEAH! *cough* Sorry, got a bit excited. =)

Maybe if their channel takes off I can just get the money they make off my stolen video or something. So far they seem to be getting no traffic even with my "viral" video on their channel, lol. They seem to just take the stuff from the front page of the website I uploaded the alternate video to.
