Be good to self.
Yesterday, I attended (for work) a conference for marketing students to connect with marketing professionals. I work in a marketing company (in a non-marketing role), and was invited to attend as a mentor.
One of the students, during a social media presentation, asked what the best way would be to gain YouTube followers would be. Unanimously, the social media experts said, "Purchase ads." A follow-up question asked if this was feasible, given limited budgets, the experts all said that paying for a small ad ($10-$20) would guarantee more views than hours and hours and hours of work on any one video, unless you were in a specific niche that appealed to a couple of certain types of viewers (mostly children under 10).
So that was really interesting, and I may try that out at some point in the near future, just to see. Happy viewing!
