From gamer to vlogger?

If they changed their system, I am sure either Twitch would support video content that wasn't streamed, or something else would pop up that would fill the gap in the market. :) I would honestly not be surprised if some of the bigger networks have plans to start their own "YouTube" in case that happens.
So, you would not be willing to switch to vlogging? :cat2:

Question to the gaming channels!
Hypothetically speaking, if Youtube's content policy were to change over and not allow any gameplay footage whatsoever, would you be able/willing to continue Youtube as a vlogger (with "real-life" footage)?

I would be willing to and I think I could make myself be half as interesting as I actually am, haha.

no doubt your channel would be equally as successful if you made the transition to vlogging. Paul and I made the transition a while ago..not to vlog but to review games rather then doing lets plays....simply cause we don't have a proper capture device. we still throw up some lets plays but not like we use to when we started the gaming channel.

It's more fun seeing your reactions too! You guys should make a full-blown studio office where you review stuff and record it. :laugh2:

Aw, why though, if you don't mind me asking?
I like my privacy a lot and don't want to be recognised by people when out and about (even if I rarely am) but bar that, my life revolves around gaming so I'd have nothing to vlog about as nothing interesting happens and if I did vlog it would be about games but than I'd feel extremely stupid if I had to do a review on a game and not show any footage, facts or visual references. Just stand their showing a box of the game... lol to me that's not how a review should be done, it doesn't really stay true to what you're trying to do as a voice to the consumers. If their policy changed to not allow gameplay footage whatsoever I'd probaby never touch YouTube again and if I did it would be for the rendered random viral video. Or I would probably log on monthly or quartly to check on vloggers I'm subbed to. But this hypothetical policy would hypothetically kill youtube for me as an entertainment site.

haha or be cheap and sit in front of our green screen and pretend its our big full blown studio office haha :D we have plans tho to do some pretty fun stuff on the gaming channel!

I don't know . Could be fun but I would have to stop smoking weed before recording/while recording .
That might be a problem . I'm not sure if anyone wants to see someone high talking about s**t rofl .

I think it would be funny, but the NSA may have something to say about it. xD

ROFL . Well you could move to a country where it isn't illegal and you are pretty much ok =D .
Sorted! If YouTube stop gaming altogether, I am going to make a list of all the stuff NSA dislike and go to a country where it is legal to do most of them and put them all in one video and send the NSA a copy with a picture of me sticking my tongue out. Vlog channel sorted! :)

Just as a warning. If I suddenly stop posting, the NSA have seen this post, tracked me down and killed me. :)
