Friends finding out your Channel?!

Haha that's a brilliant little story, I think most people like us don't want people to know unless we actually make something of our channels and can be proud to say we have became a successful Youtuber
That sir is a really good point. I wound't hesitate to brag about it to my friends at all xD

I post my videos to Facebook so all of my friends know about my channels. Some of my friends don't care, but most of them seem to like my videos. I've even had a couple of people come up to me at school to tell me how much they like my videos!
I haven't had a single negative reaction.

You must be doing great then, keep it up!

I think it's best to just focus on your immediate friends and family. I don't care what someone thinks that I went to high school with but haven't talked to in years. But my real friends are pretty supportive. If they have expertise in a specific area, they usually give advice and try to help. I definitely don't worry about my family. My sisters share my videos all the time and suggest things as well. None of my brothers are into social media anyway so they don't count. My children want to be youtubers so obviously they are supportive.

But the facts are these. If you're doing what makes you happy and it isn't hurting anyone else, it shouldn't matter what anyone thinks.

My family and close friends found out because i walk around with a camera all day haha, but work friends found out via a suggested video and i took some stick at work the next day but they all understand a little bit more then they did..

people can be very naive

In the beginning I posted my channel on my social media and some friends/family subbed to me. (probably about 30ish subs) Now, months later some people that I know are finding my channel through those people who subbed to me in the beginning and they just keep telling me that they love my videos and binge watched them. Every time that I post a new video they tell me how great it is next time I see them. I'm not trying to hide my channel, so I'm fine with it. Plus, it is super nice of them to tell me how great my videos are! (And they subbed, so it's a win-win for everyone! Haha!)

I was at first, but now that I'm working as a videographer/editor, my friends assume making youtube videos is part of my job; so that makes it a little less embarrassing. I had a friend text me the other day to tell me her husband liked my video. :p
One of my coworkers found my videos and brought it up at work, but she really liked them and was really interested in what I was doing. It was an awesome response.

I find it more embarrassing to get caught filming the videos than to have them seen on the internet. haha
