Freedom?! Your thoughts

Freedom is an oddball case. Generally speaking, I think that anyone giving up 40% of their revenue for nothing is a bad idea. 60/40 splits are embarrassingly low in this day and age.

However, and I don't mean this with any disrespect at all as everyone starts somewhere, when your channel is still very small and not bringing in any revenue anyways, you are basically trading nothing in exchange for a music library which is a pretty decent trade. You won't want to bother being with them as you grow, but for now with no long term contract it's probably not an awful choice.

There are some really slimy elements of Freedom, so be cautious and don't let the network overhype itself to you. As long as you're careful, you'll be fine. It is worth noting though, that posting a forum thread asking for opinions and then not waiting for any actual opinions to be posted in response isn't being careful.

Well, just to let you know if you leave there is a 30 days notice (takes 30 days to leave) I guess if you're a smaller channel it would be a good idea to join Freedom, and like what @Tarmack said, don't get hyped up about their videos, George basically said everyone would get 95% revenue share. Everyone as in the people that won the $100,000 giveaway -_-
well atleast my rev share is fair (dat rhyming)

Thank you for your reply guys... I have about 380 subscribers now... not that much
and I haven't even monetized my videos before... so being with them for now is not harmful! I appreciate your comment though[DOUBLEPOST=1410301782,1410301680][/DOUBLEPOST]
I think being on my own till someone "actually" wants me is my plan :)
Well, take care... cuz I had couple of them "Networks" asking me to join, but when I searched about them I found out that they are not as great as they are, and they have so many bad reviews!
Good luck :)

I wish so, cuz I have read A LOT of reviews... and they were good!

The quick positives/negatives of Freedom are pretty simple.

Positives:

Short contract term (30 day revolving, 30 days notice to terminate)
Music library regardless of channel size
Forum for members to collaborate

Negatives:

Promised features that don't exist (110% revenue share, managed status, graphic design)
Extremely bad revenue share (60/40 is well below standard rates. Most networks operate at 70/30, 80/20 or better)
Questionable history of the CEO (George founded TGN which did some shady things in the time he was running it)
