I don't see the problem in partnering with Freedom, you can leave whenever you want just press the unlink button. on your dashboard. Who cares if he has little views, at least he will be able to monetize his videos and make $ while growing.

That's the wrong attitude, the average Abandonment rate on YouTube is 16%.
Abandonment is when a viewer starts watching a video and is displayed an ad but then decided to click away before the ad is over and therefore does not watch the video.

When you have a small channel you should not be willing to trade 10-30% of potential viewers for realistically 1-3$ a month (based on 1000 views per month)

So there is no point going for monetization until you get around 5,000 views a month which is approx $5-15.

And it is worth mentioning you do need to join to a network to make money on your YouTube videos. You can get paid through google adsense, however you won't receive a check until you get $100.

I am currently with freedom. They have a no lock on contract so if you don't like it, you can leave. I like it there. Ive grown plenty since I was partnered.

Freedom dont care whether you have 1 view or a million, they just partner everyone. If you check their change in partners it went from 20,000 to 60,000 in about 2 months (Which is ridiculous) Whereas IGN have about 80 partners. Its really hard to be successful in the youtube industry when your content is gaming, now theres many other ways to earn money but generally its methods to avoid copyright claims which is a risky and sneaky way of making money.

I agree with the point on Freedom but you shouldn't be comparing to IGN because they don't run an MCN for 3rd party channels, all their linked channels are owned and operated by them.

Yeah, bad comparrison, but my point is networks really should stick to a requirement and make it more of a privileged thing rather than handing them out like cookies.

Yeah I'm currently in the Process of leaving Freedom! as they do nothing to help and the entire forum is basically sub 4 sub view 4 view. If your under 1k subs they don't really care about you they only highlighted a channel in the mid 500 range cause they were getting some flak for only highlighting channels that did not need help. The promotion section of the forums are broken so you can't properly post multiple videos in a series and the policy they have does not allow for separate threads for each video even though they know it doesn't work. My growth was entirely from me starting to use Twitter and trying to get my content out on my own not from anything Freedom! did.

They are also home to one of the dumbest YouTubers I've ever heard of and they have featured him multiple times because he is one of the largest giving him multiple channel spotlights despite the fact that he doesn't need the promotion or help.

I could go on and on but to keep it short they will take anyone even channels that have no views, subscribers, or videos. The affiliate network I'm in and joined is part of Freedom! has great people in it and I'm going to stay subscribed and watch the videos they have but outside of that will have nothing further to do with Freedom! as others have said your best bet is to wait till you get bigger at which point you could probably find a better network.

Freedom offer very little, and with what @Shane said partnering your channel will be useless, as you will be earning very little.

Ehhh, they're starting to offer seriously more than other networks (Epidemic Sound, AudioMicro (soon), Xsplit licenses, ...), coupled with a no lock-in contract and on-time payments - that's already much better than a lot of MCNs.
