No, partners still need to pay/ file their taxes in their own country.Freedom doesn't make partners pay tax because the incorporated in the Philippines or something like that, so they aren't required. I believe that's what George said
I didn't understand why he was saying it as well. To be honest I think he just got the idea because a few networks (Machinima, Fullscreen, Maker - all based in the US) require you to submit a tax form before you can get paid. No, partners still need to pay/ file their taxes in their own country.
The only thing they're saying is that them as a network/ company don't pay taxes from the revenue they get so partners will get their full 60% but the reason it is odd they say this, is that no company/ network has to do this..
nopeI think figured out why say there is no tax!!! My guess is because most of the freedom partners are so small they never make $400. Freedom has no minimum payout so a lot of their partners are making less then $5 a month. If you look at their forms and comments on video you will see what I mean and how most of their partners are small. Other networks you have to fill out a tax form before you even start to get paid, whereas freedom won't make you fill out a tax form until you make enough money and most of them don't. That is how they get away with it.
nope
Wow, clearly you don't get it. It doesn't matter if you fill out a W9, or not. No network can, or will, withdraw taxes from your earnings because you are considered SELF-EMPLOYED. Since their business is not registered in the US, they are not required to have their partners fill out a W9, BUT the partners are still required to file a tax return if they earn $400/year or more. Got it?What do you mean by that?[DOUBLEPOST=1405974477,1405974197][/DOUBLEPOST]My last post was just a guess I didn't say I was right, but if you go there social-blade to get in the top 100 for views you need only 5 million views and they have have over 25,000 members. This proves they mostly have smaller channels.
