Freedom Misleading Subnetworks?

CoolMoo5

I Love YTtalk
There is a network called Freedom! Sometimes I watch the videos on their YouTube channel. Today I was watching the newest video on their channel and the following quote from their CEO George stuck out to me:

". . . to apply go to freedom.tm/network. That is all of you aspiring to be a network, we don't call them sub-networks, we don't call them virtual networks, we don't call them content aggregators. Why? Because there are networks. Anything that partners channels and provides the teaching and training and other services of a YouTube network, is a YouTube network! So please don't call them subnetworks, it just degrades them, just because they're small they're not sub. They are networks and we will grow together because that is what we do."

What you think? Do find this misleading? Do you find this true? I'm sure @Shane.C would have a lot to say on this.

In what way would it be misleading? And misleading to what?

The fact that they are calling sub-networks, networks. They let teenagers with no business with no business experience start their own sub-networks. The part that could be is misleading is calling these subnetworks, networks.

It could be taken that as that way..

George said:
Anything partners channels
Because technically it is Freedom that does that not them.

Not directed at all of there networks because I believe some of they do have some extra helpful features but the vast majority just seem to offer the exact the same stuff as Freedom direct does.

It's actually one of the main things I don't like about Freedom, they let pretty much anyone become a network, they have 100s of them.

Whoa.. Pump the brakes. Freedom only has a handful of teens that run networks with them, they have a very strict age limit. Do some get through? Sure but they are eventually found and dealt and as I said there have only been a few that have been cleared (3 or 4 max) because they know what they are doing, have a good team behind them, and are right on the line (to be 18). In January, they dropped the hammer on underage networks simply because they were a liability. So to insinuate something like what you said is very insulting to not just freedom but to us, the network owners. Take what you will about Freedom partnership but attacking their network program is where I draw the line.

How many networks work under Freedom?
I will apply if there any other payment
method,because my in my
country we cannot recieve payment via
paypal .

Sorry but a tonne of their networks add 0 value, it's basically a fancy name for a referral in that case, sub-network may even be too much and some my not be under-age but they act like it.
Funnily enough, Freedom takes on as a sub-network pretty much any of the ones we decline so..

But not saying they're all bad, I know of some that seem very good to me.

I wasn't "attacking" anyone. I was just watching their videos and the quote stuck out to me. I'm sure there are good subnetworks under freedom too.

And one of the reasons this quote stuck out to me, was because I remember reading through a forum on here where someone had some affiliation with a Freedom sub-network and thought it was full blown network. So it appears they have already mislead people.

Freedom is an interesting company, I admire how they are doing a lot of things differently then other networks. Maybe that is why I follow what are doing and watch their videos.

Attacking wasn't the right word but my point still stands, you called freedom out on having teen ran networks when it's not the case.

If your referring to their trusted tier (new networks) then sure I'll give you that, but once you reach vip or master then they're worth something. I can think of a few freedom networks that are much better than some MCNs out there.

I really don't know what tiers the networks I am talking about are :P

Alot of Freedom networks refer to themselves as MCNs, some of the top ones too :whistling2:
