Free editing software?

id suggest just invest money in good editing program but umm ive never tried but maybe youtube editor is good enough for you? :)

I use the free version of lightworks, it's still got lots of features left in. The full version has been used on quite a number of big movies too.

i dont recommend stealing software but free is not "Very good" ever, so im also not saying not to torrent or get hacked version of what ever, completely unrelated party sharing an opinion.

Based on what you mentioned that you would like to be able to do...maybe YouTube's Video Editor or Windows Movie Maker would be your best bet until you can afford something better. Another option, or rather a less expensive option...just throwing it out there because most people have smartphones nowadays...if you have an iphone... there's an app called Splice which allows you to do all that you asked and little bit more. There's a free version and a pro which is only 3.99 in the app store...I imagine Android might have some apps as well, but I haven't had an android in a few years. I only make this suggestion because what you want to do doesn't seem like it would be editing intensive and require a computer...unless of course you dont' have a smart phone in which case Oops! and I = not helpful. Haha.
