I'm not going to necessarily argue over what brand of video editing software to choose from. I've just known that simply put nothing in life is free, and that if there is something free there is always a catch.
However, to answer some of the other questions above, Final Cut does have it's flaws and so does Premiere, but for rendering on either of them it doesn't take that much time.
Well, it could be worse we could be arguing over the fact that Camtasia is like the
best recording/editing software out there. Am I right

))
Simply put, we all have our preferences and it's up to
@Miranda Gene to find that program that suits here. To help her with this, I'm going to provide a list of all the programs we've listed.
- Windows Movie Maker (Not Recommended)
- Hitfilm 4 (Free, Recommended)
- Lightworks (Free, Recommended)
- IMovie (If Your a Mac User)
- Final Cut Pro (If Your a Mac User) (Recommended)
- Adobe Premiere Pro (Expensive, Recommended)
- Sony Vegas Pro 14 (Expensive, Recommended)
- AVS Movie Editor ( 80 or so dollars, Recommended)
Above are all video/photo editing softwares that can render to at least 720/60fps or 1080/30fps. I do know for a fact that Hitfilm-Sony Vegas can render 1080p/60fps and 4k/30fps or 4k/60fps.
Whatever you like to choose is up to you, just know that some programs are better than others and I would highly suggest you try them all out before you pick on you decide to stick with.
@Styxie @Jtpetch Excuse my ignorance on some of the programs, I had to look a bit deeper than what the website actually said. The website didn't go too in depth on each program so I tried them out myself, in a way Lightworks and Hitfilm are like lower quality versions of the ones I listed above, but for people to make simple videos for YouTube. They're pretty good for making standard videos and anything you really want I suppose.
My apologies to the both of you.
