Hello all! My name is Ben also know as jelly_beng or Jelly Designs or that annoying kid on the internet wanting YouTube fame even though hes not interested in youtubering.

Any how. I want to get back into GFX because I used to do alot then I quit because I felt there was no skill in 3D Banners (Personal Preference) so I went back to 2D banners which this time im having alot of fun doing!

I have only started re doing them about a month ago and I want to get better and start getting my name out there again. Down below is a few examples of my recent work (keep in mind there isnt a lot as I have only made 2!) as well as my YouTube channel!

Thanks guys for all of your support! Unfortunately I am not able to make as many banners as I would like to. I have told to a member of yttalk this and I feel I should let everyone else know so they are not wasting their time with a AFK GFX guy. I make all of my banners from scratch and it takes me at least 45 Minutes to 2 Hours on wards to make a banner I am happy with as I try to make every banner the best banner of my ability. So please if you are expecting a banner within this week (8th of October 2013 - around 15th) dont expect me to reply instantly. I feel bad for not making people banners that they want but unfortunately stuff happens in life. I hope you all understand and can forgive me in advance :). Wish you all a very good Youtubering!

I'm a Graphic Designer, but I don't have the idea to make myself a banner for my channel.
Do you think you could make a Channel Art for my Channel?
I'll add you on Skype in a moment.
 
I'll add you on Skype whenever I get home from work, so you can help me with a banner for my channel ;).
 
Just thought I'd write a constructed review on this guy, for future clients to him.
I have absolutely no ideas for anything for a banner on my channel, even with me being a designer. So, I thought maybe someone else could make me something good for my channel, so I went to this guy, Ben.
First he said he would make it, fine and dandy, so I waited a while. He didn't reply back to me for about a 2-3 hours, then when he did he explained he was talking to a client so I thought, okay, hopefully I get an update on whether to give him info. on the banner yet.
He turns around and says to me, after explaining to him that I needed a banner for my channel, the follow message: 'Yeah im here. As for helping you out I feel that what seperates each GFX designer is individuality by that I mean we each have our own styles. If your struggling to get some inspiration you should maybe look at other YouTube banners instead or lookup some tutorials. I can see you would be good at this because you are very well experienced.'
I thought, wow, so now he thinks I'm in this to steal his designs?
Why would I do that? I'm a designer with my own styles, I just don't have any idea for my own banner!
Then, after explaining about why I wouldn't steal his idea as I have my own, he says the following two messages:
'Well no, Iv been with a client. Im telling you that if I make you a banner you will almost copy it because you need "inspiration"'
And then: 'Look, I dont want someone being in a Skype call with me potentialy stealing my design style. If you want inspiration go to some stock photos website or something or base it around what you like.'
I'm actually shocked at the such arrogance/paranoid thinking of this designer; I've designed many, many times for designers myself, and they've never taken my ideas, and I've stayed in touch with them. So why would he be so paranoid about this?
I'm again, shocked at him, and I'm sorry to say I would not recommend this designer to anyone actually serious about him or who has some skill in Photoshop, but can't come up with ideas of their own.

Honestly, if you can't design your own banner, you probably shouldn't be in this business. The fact that you had to ask another designer to do one for you proves that you lack the creativity required for a designer to do their job.

P.S. He didn't reply because he was working on my banner I asked for.
