Fraps Volume Issue, Help?

I want to record SNES games via Fraps & Emulator, but my voice is always overpowered by the game's sound. Is there a way to turn the PC's volume in the recordings? Or does anyone have an emulator where I can change the volume in the emulator itself, and is record-able with Fraps?

Try increasing your mic's volume in your computer's actual settings or turning the game volume of the emulator down, it really helps :D

Easy, if you are using windows just go into your volume mixer. Turn down your game and then keep your master settings up near 100. Then you can also go into game settings and turn down your game audio. You should do various tests and see what sounds best for you. Worst comes to worst do a microphone boost.

Where would I find volume mixer?

right click your speaker, then open volume mixer. After that you will have all the options you need.
Thank you! Now one more thing! When I record using what I learned. How come when I record using fraps, my commentary is just fine and then it has a very sudden drop in volume until I start yelling again?

This is a microphone setting. It is set to auto fluctuate instead of manually setting it for a certain level. You will need to go into your mic settings and make sure that it is manually set to where you want. Be careful though. This could be an easy way for you to max your mic and have not good sounding audio. "I've had this issue on some shoots before"

You just solved problems I've been struggling with for years! Thank you!

The best thing to do would be to lower the emulators sound, if it has a built in volum control. (I know VBA has one)
I don't have a SNES emulator myself, so I'm not sure if it has the ability to do so or not.
