Fraps or Dxtory?

It really depends on the computer.
I have Dxtory on my computer because fraps runs laggy as crap!

But on my friends computer it was a completely different story. For his computer, fraps runs 100% and Dxtory is the one laggy as crap.

Yeah, I don't think mines is too bad.. Well I'm no genius when it comes to computers, so I feel like a complete noobD:
I say as long as it doesn't lag it's all good!:).

I recommend Fraps. It is true that it creates high file sizes but once i am done editing the final video the file size then becomes much smaller at least under 1 GB. After your done recording the footage i recommend deleting it or backing it up to a External Hard Drive if that is your thing.

I tried dxtory and it works a lot better than fraps. I don't have an External Hard Drive but when I do I'll try fraps again and compare them both. Thanks anyways:D

Dxtory hates me, I can't record at a decent framerate at all with it. FRAPS works better for me personally, and I've just gotten used to using it after two years. I might try dxtory again whenever I get a better PC.

I am going to go rogue and say Bandicam... Just because it is a less resource intensive version of Fraps. To each their own though.

Bandicam would desync my audio. Not a big deal but annoying. It is a lot less demanding than Fraps, so I like in that regard.

I usually let it record two audio streams ( my voice and then the game sounds separately) Then when I open it in Movie Studio platinum I just drag all three streams to the same starting point and voilà! Actually even in WMM it works pretty much the same. I have no idea why I am defending Bandicam so much xD
