Fraps or Audacity

Ok then thanks, audacity it is then :), this video is taking me 4 hours or longer for 12 minutes, do you know how i could make it upload quicker. Ones in the past have uploaded within the hour so.......

Upload or Render?

Uploads you can try using Handbrake like someone suggested previously. Will do some compressing for you.
 
Recording with audacity, or the basic windows sound recorder is almost the same, of course you can set some extra stuffs in audacity, but the overall quality won't really change, but you really want to record your voice in a voice recording software like audacity, or so.
 
just make sure you do something in the video to be able to sync the voice and screen capture audio.. otherwise that wouldn't be a good idea :)

Yes definitely, we are doing this by the simplest thing you can do. Start your video recording, and then start your audio recording. When you edit your video, you just have to put the start of your voice track where you push the record button on audacity.

fair enough :) I normally open a menu screen and say up, down, up, down then sync it take way :p very easy way to do it :)
