For channels with 100+ Subscribers

The first 100 wasn't that hard. I'd like to think the only reason I don't have more than the 169 I have now is because I'm not very consistent. I've had my channel since 2010.

It took me close to a year to get to the first 100. Then the following year I blasted past 1000. And now I am over 2100 and we are not at the 3rd anniversary of my channel yet! I am safe from having to eat a shoe though, as I will not make 10K subscribers before that time.

But the numbers really shouldn't matter too much. A lot of people focus too much on them, and then they end up p****d off that their stuff isn't watched and/or subscriber worthy. And that in turn will show up in those people's videos. No matter where it goes, stay calm and YouTube on!

I don't have any advice cause I'm not there yet, but I wouldn't let the numbers bother myself. It could affect the content.

Getting close to 100, which was my New Years resolution (hopefully I'll have to make a new one soon)!

I would say that depends... For and example - my first YouTube channel which created back in 2008 had to wait for 5 YEARS to get 100+ subs... Current channel gathered it in about 1 month...

40 days for me, but I play a fairly popular game, and a little bit of subtle self-promotion on the game's forums, Reddit and Twitter got me there in just over a month.

It took me just over 6 months but maybe if I was bit more consistent progress would have been faster :) none the less everyone is different!
