Focus Issue

Celsus

I Love YTtalk
I've got a issue that I've trouble with, which get's in the way of videos I'm recording. I tend to hyper focus when things get heated which keeps me from talking. Anyone else have the same issue? If so any tips on how to break the chain?

I mean I had that problem, especially when I did multiplayer videos and it is very hard to break from because your mind is like super focused on it. I've watched people play multiplayer matches and when they do they tend to speak in small sentences which I guess is better than not speaking at all. My only recommendation is either to relax and not be so serious or try recording something else that isn't so heated. If you can, try to at least speak in short sentences if you are in a heated situation. At least it would give people someone to listen to and doing this overtime may solve your problem.

eh he multiplayer I can ramble on in, but solo games is where I struggle. I wouldn't say I try so hard for the video, but I become obsessed when i'm playing a game on my own. Maybe I just subconsciously block it out cause it feels odd to talk by yourself.

I know for me, it's all about balancing commentary and focus. And it gets easier with the more practice you have in my opinion.

Oh yeah... I get that way when I am reviewing a car or vlogging in my car. But, I stop talking when I have to keep my attention to the road too. Traffic is ever changing, and one can not simply talk as if sitting in a chair. And even then I think I'd goof up and say something incoherent. Jump cuts are your friend!

I haven't done gaming videos but I would imagine it just comes with practice, like everything else. There are some guys on twitch who can be mid fight PvP and carrying on an entire conversation with their viewers.
