Fixing audio levels on established channel

Use it in the music track to Remove 3 to 6 db from the band frequency between 250hz and 600hz.. this way we can hear both the music and the voice, and there is no overlapping effects.

I'll looking at that equalization trick. I have already started using a limiter to get rid of the hard pots and pans noises which seem to be about a million dB.

For the equalization should I just lower the volume of that frequency range in my source music?

I'm gonna check out that Benson website too, good music makes such a difference on videos, but I have never been able to use it well. Will have to do some experimentation.
