Fiverr (Social Video Marketing) Legit???

Some are legit, some are not.

how do you know what ones are legit? Is there a way to tell?[DOUBLEPOST=1444216390,1444216307][/DOUBLEPOST]
Legit as in real people, im sure the seller has no problem putting 200 likes or whatever on the video but like the others said it wont actually help your videos

Isn't this similar to Google Adwords? I can pay 1.00 per view and I get 300 views on my video in a week. Isn't it the same where Google advertises my video to people that don't really care about my video?

He is logging in liking and watching then he logs out and logs into another account does the same and does this 200 times
He would need to change his IP 200 times as well, and even if he did that, I bet YT will still be able to tell it's the same person based on a number of signals.

What about the services on fivver that offer editing or voice over stuff for 5 dollars? Are they legit?
Yes, some of those are very legit, but often end up costing more than $5 (sometimes much more). I have used that site countless times for various voiceovers. This British accent voiceover cost me a whopping $10 - https://overheadexposure.wistia.com/medias/01ajnsk8rh - On the other hand, the Obama impersonator in the video below cost me $50 - $100 every time I used him (I've used him about 6 times). Still totally worth the money. I've found that the logo and design work, for the most part, is not very good. You really have to do research, look at examples, and read the reviews.

I'm a big fan of fiverr. Yes, you end up paying more than $5 for most gigs but if you need channel art, thumbnails, etc. it's a decent place to go.

The issue isn't wether or not one gig is legitimate or not. I've no doubt the guy offering to give you 200 likes will actually get your account 200 likes. So in one sense it's "legitimate". But what you're buying is not actually legitimate.

Imagine this. If someone on Fiverr said I'll sell you $10,000 in fake $100 bills for $5. Would you think it's a good idea? I mean the guys legit? He's got good reviews? He will actually give you $10,000 in fake money for $5? Not only that. Your neighbor got $10,000 in fake money from him for $5 and he says they actually arrived and it's looks pretty real?

Would you do that? Of course not, because although the guy will actually do what he said the entire concept is shady as hell. You'd go to jail.

You're essentially trying to do the same thing here. Yeah he might do it. But YouTube might ban your channel and you from ever doing business on YouTube. The likes won't help at all.

Just stay a mile clear of anything that seems shady like this.

Like others have mentioned, Fiverr is very much hit or miss. You want to steer clear of pretty much any promotion there, even social media, bc 99.9% is fake or just simply does not produce results. There are many legit services that you can take advantage of, but you have to wade through a lot of illegitimate, noneffective, and/or poorly produced services.

They're legit services, but I wouldn't recommend buying such anyways. The only real effect they have is the social effect: someone sees a video has a lot of likes and is therefore more likely to think it's a good video.
