Hey everyone. Is there any suggestions as to what your first YouTube video could be and any advice you can give me. Any personal experience of what you thought when you first uploaded your video and what went through your mind as you were thinking about beginning to upload videos.

Thanks Kelley

All I have is a tip I once heard from gisikw.
Your first video is probably not going to be that great, as you aren't really used to this kind of thing, so what to do is just enjoy yourself, the first video surprisingly isn't that important, as long as you can make it better, that's the main thing :)

Don't stress it, not every first video is perfect. Just remember to try to improve when you can if possible, and try your best.

I remember my very first video was a slideshow of kirby.
It doesn't matter how great it is, or how bad it is, even though you should do it to the best of your abilities.
What matters is you enjoyed it and you enjoy what you're doing.

YouTube is about having fun! Not getting views or making money!

What I've learned was through experience, you start to become much more happier about making videos. You get use to talking to the camera and what not. When you have other people around you, it gets much easier. It's all about the experience.
And some people might not accept you at first, but eventually they will. So don't worry about what your friends think. Because if they think shet, then they're not your real friends. Or at least not the supportive friends.

But yeah it gets easier over time! And fun! So don't stress about the first video!

just be yourself and dont be afraid of making mistakes, afterall thats how you learn and get better with each time. try to get attention in first 15seconds of video so that your audiance would be interested in watching your video. have fun! :bounce:

In the beginning, your struggle is not to make a great video. It's to make videos at all and be ok with them being public. So your goal shouldn't be "must make a fantastic first video" your goal should be "Must get the guts to put something up on youtube". It took me like... over 100 videos to get to where I could consistently deliver content I was truly pleased with, up until then I was just a little more pleased each time, now I'm still trying to get to where I feel I am NAILING my videos and they are at the highest level I can get them. I've gone from "embarassed of all my uploads" to "this is good enough I'm ok with this" to "Ok I can really see the appeal of my videos I'm doing well" to now hopefully getting to where I'm like "omg I am ecstatic to put this out I NAILED it". I have yet to make it to step 4, vlogging is a process.

I would advise you to make a video about yourself and your interests....also about what you wanna do on your channel!

I would advise you to get used to talking "to yourself" (its in front of a camera but thats what it feels like) I'tll be weird at first but after the first few videos you will get everything down! :)[DOUBLEPOST=1372866332,1372864708][/DOUBLEPOST]Oh and Kelley-Jay Martin, check your inbox, I sent you a video that could help you out! :D
