I FAILED!

I was so determined to upload every Sunday but I failed... on the second upload haha! FAIL!
I knew it would happen eventually, not after one video haha!
I'm planning on making up for the errors though, I'm uploading the video that should have gone up yesterday on Saturday and then a bloopers/extras video on the Sunday.

In a weird way it's kind of a blessing because now I don't have to film a video for next weekend so I'm a week ahead, I'm filming and editing tomorrow, and possibly another one on Wednesday so I should be well ahead.

Anyone else missed uploads yet?

no ones perfect and it happens to everyone lol

In the beginning it is still ok because you don't have that many subscribers waiting on your next video. But the faster you get in the right rythm the better ;)

And yes, I have missed a week before. :)

Oh yes, I have missed an upload!
I remember when I first started creating videos early this year, I got really sick for 2 weeks. 2 weeks of no uploads! My channel is pretty small though, so no complaints lol
Now I try to make a bit of a video buffer so if I can't make a video, I still have something I can upload.

While I have not missed a week yet, I have uploaded a day late once and so late the normal day twice it might as well have been a day late. I am almost at one year, so I am pretty happy with this. Note that my videos are super easy to make and edit, so I don't expect to win any awards for consistency.

No matter what you do it will happen eventually lol chin up and just try not to let it happen to often

Nope, not really. I had a schedule of Monday / Wednesday / Friday, but as soon as it became a chore I turned into "I'll upload once a week / whenever I have time to edit. Sometimes I won't upload for 8 days, and other times (like this week) there are 3 vlogs that went up in that same 7 day period.

In the beginning I just posted weekly, usually Monday.
I remember how I was able to make 3 videos in a week and schedule each video weekly in Monday.
Actually it was in 3 days and I made one video per day.
It were the first 3 episodes of Carlos and the 4th episode didn't come out the way I wanted it to be so I never posted it, after that point I kinda stopped making videos that fast.
I have that a lot: I come with a video idea but the idea usually contains a part that takes a lot of time ( especially animated parts, there are animation projects older than 9 months that I still didn't make, I have a tablet and Flash but somehow I never can find the motivation to start working on the animations no matter how badly I want to make the video. )
So an idea becomes so big that I almost start feeling lazy and procrastinate.

This entire school year I tried to focus more on college than on YouTube so instead of weekly videos I made monthly videos even though I wanted to make weekly videos, but I never know when to start working on the next video or I need to get a lot of ideas, sometimes I have too much ideas.
Lately I also started skipping every other month.

My video making schedule is slowly starting to become a mess lol

If anything you should be happy it happened early in your scheduling! Apart from missing your own personal schedule, since your channel is still new, people won't entirely know what your schedule was meant to be and therefore the "repercussions", so to speak, won't be as bad. Either way, even if you missed one months into your channel, it's no biggie, it happens to everyone!
