First Hate Comment..

To be honest, I would have just straight up blocked him. If he can't figure out how to act maturely online, I doubt a warning will make him grow up.

I'm also firmly in the "don't feed them, it'll get worse" camp, but I guess it's especially hard when they're not insulting you but a loyal viewer. You have to be quick to delete before the viewer sees it.

That is a great idea. I always hate when people comment saying they're the first to comment. Kudos, good sir.

But you gotta admit, it is funny to see when their "first" comment is actually not the first comment. I always wonder whether that ruins their day.

I made the mistake of responding in the nicest way I could to a really mean comment and it ended up with him just getting even meaner and me really upset. The best thing to do is ignore them and not respond, and even delete the comment.

Yep. Don't feed the trolls (and it doesn't sound like his/her comment was in any way constructive). I sometimes check their profile and latest activity (if I am close to being bored) and read their other comments. If all (or almost all) of their comments are just hate and bull I block them. No point letting them continue their habits.

Lol so I was just checking my new video for comments and this one person dropped the word ***. Im pretty sure it was directed towards someone I mentioned in my video but it was still rude and offensive. I responded with this:

Ignore them. If it's really offensive to your subs then remove the comment, but anything else will just give the troll what they want.
The first few hate comments are hard, but eventually you stop caring. They mostly just make me laugh now.

It definitely can be quite shocking when you get your first hate comment...I was quite taken aback the first time, but after a couple of them, now it seems like nothing, lol.

Best thing to do is ignore all these types of comments, either that or make it so you have to check comments before making them public on your channel!
