First Copyright Strike

Welp, got my first copyright strike. Freaking Sega. :banghead:

I'm guessing I need to restart my channel from scratch now? Or does anyone have any idea how I can get the strike removed other than the Youtube copyright school since that takes 6 months to work from what I heard.

That sucks, that's why I steer away from making gaming videos. Maybe a personal message to youtube which they won't read, so you might as well journey to their headquarters and ask lol. I really dunno though!

Are you Partnered with a network like Machinima? If not, then damn. This is why i tell people to get partnered... :/
SEGA and Nintendo don't like people uploading their content to YouTube.

Damn, well hopefully starting a new channel won't move the strike over. :stomp:

At least now I know never to play Sega games, thought Nintendo was the only major company being a b***h about the whole Youtube thing.

Currently, your options are:
1. don't get strikes for the next 6 months and let it disappear
2. make a new channel (the strike won't carry over.)

If I was you, I'd create a new channel. Try doing games which encourage monetization (I'm pretty sure Steam powered games allow this, but don't quote me on that). When your channel grows enough, then join a gaming network, which will allow you to legally do many more games.

Nope it doesn't, it says so in the claim. If I delete it all it will do is make it impossible to dispute.
Well then what you'll need to do is wait it out. (6 months to be precise and take the Youtube copyright school, which is just a quick questionaire)
Or if you feel the claim is illegitimate the file a counter claim.

You didn't do your research? Sega are the biggest c***s when it comes to copyright strikes, they once had a massive copyright strike binge, they removed it from their content ID system but refused to take the blame and refused to apologise to the people who got screwed over by it and even refused to help them remove the strikes. Although I'm going from recollection. Do you research next time, don't just assume devs let you do what you want. If you want to get rid of the strike, you need to make a new channel or wait the 6months. A network won't partner you until the strike is gone but I believe they can see if you've had strikes in the past too.
