Finding a minor issue on your video hours after it was uploaded

Hey guys!

So my most recent video took me 8 hours to edit so i admit when i finally rendered it i was glad it was done, so forgot to watch it back first

Basically its only minor but i added checkout beep sounds to one of the scenes in my latest video, i had got them timed to pretty much perfection and i have just realised they are gone! I must have deleted them by accident when adding the music! And its already been on youtube over 12 hours now

I know its only small but its really bugging me and im worried it has ruined the video, however the video already has nearly 40 views so i dont want to get rid of it, as thats the best i have done in a while in such a short time and i dont want to have to try and get them again as i probably wont be able too

Has anyone else had this issue? As its only minor should i just keep it up i dont really want to delete it now its just annoying me so much knowing its gone!

Lol, I wouldn't worry too much. Small imperfections make us human and build character, right?
In the same situation, I'd just make a joke about it in the next video. If people noticed, cool, we have an inside joke together! If they didn't notice, maybe I just drove some traffic back to my old video!

This happens all the time for me. Especially with my music. There hasn't been a single song/piece that I have been 100% happy with. I always find something after that could be changed or improved on.

And yes, sometimes you make mistakes. It happens to everyone. Don't worry about it :).

A couple of weeks ago I had some corrupted footage that I had to salvage and then work a lot of editing magic on to make it watchable. It took a day and a half of slaving over it, adjusting sound and adding music, and then when I went to add my annotations after uploading it I discovered my end card was missing.

It was in the timeline but Sony Vegas's little selector bar ended at the main footage. After putting so much time into it I was sick of that video and just said forget the card. I put an annotation note up instead with the call to action.

Mistakes are bound to happen so the best thing is to shrug it off and try and avoid repeating them next time.

I always watch my videos back turning a 30min video into an hour of work but I love Gaming and even after watching it back I sometimes find out that I said something wrong like used the wrong word if it's something minor I keep it in like ProfessionalRik said we are Human we make mistakes from time to time I only change if it is a major issue.

It never happened after it was uploaded since I watch a video multiple times before uploading but it did happen once after a Render that took hours.. It was really annoying.

I would say don't sweat it, but being a perfectionist myself I know it's hard to do that. :banghead2:

The best thing is to take this a learning experience and focus on being even more careful when reviewing the next videos before publishing them. And remember that accidents happen, and your audience likely doesn't notice all the little things you noticed while editing. At least that's what I tell myself!
