Finally some more information on Fan Finder

After stopping for a couple days, the channel ad promos are taking off again. They've run mine 400 times in the past 2 days! I sure can't complain about that.

Did you notice a spike in subs/views at all?

I'm interested in making an ad for fan finder and wanna know if it will give me a decent boost.

I haven't noticed any significant difference in subs. But keep in mind my channel has been averaging over 120,000 views per day, so unless the channel ad itself goes viral I'm not likely to see a big percentage change right away. It's hopefully increasing brand awareness to help take us to the next level. Our long-term goal is to become THE dominant kid-created video channel. (Don't tell my daughters, they think we just do this for fun! )

Meh. I mean it was free, so don't expect it to run so GREAT.
You get what you paid for (usually anyway), and we done it for free.
Most likely, Google probably won't give back.

I rather do advertising than Fan Finder :)

I really should be able to use it because I have over 500 subs.

You can use it. It just takes longer to compile data to serve the ad if you have less than 1000 subs.

On a side note, remember that annotation click thru rates are not anywhere close to 10%. I'd expect a 1.5 to 3% click thru rate on fan finder ads if YouTube does what it intents to do. So if your ad is shown 100 times, I'd expect between 1 to 3 subscribers.

What are the odds of this, unbeknownst to me, YouTube just started promoting my channel! At least, I think they are. I went to my channel ad's analytics and under "Traffic Sources" I noticed the category "YouTube Advertising",

This is weird, I have just had the same "YouTube Advertising" category appear in my analytics too but I have not done the fan finder thing at all. So far, I only have 1 view there from the 5th March lol, but then again my channel is a lot smaller and it's all relative I suppose. When I click through, it says "Ads on Google Search" and the view has really good audience retention so it's all good I suppose, but not really sure what this is.

YouTube has also recently started promoting my channel a bit via "YouTube Partner Promotion" too fwiw, so it appears that my channel is starting to get noticed.

I didn't want to reply in this old thread but since Crown revived it, I wanted to say that I take back what I said previously in this thread.
I just got 5 views on my Fan Finder.
