FINAL CUT PRO X VS PREMIERE PRO

So I went back and chose the sequence I wanted and when I drag the video in the timeline for some reason there is no sound? It's not put on mute, why does it do that?

It could be that the audio is still being rendered. Premiere does take a few minutes to generate a peak file to work off of. Usually is only a few seconds (depending on speed of computer and length of clip) look in the bottom right corner and see if it has a progress bar and a filename next to it.

It's a tiny file just a few seconds long, there isn't anything in the bottom right corner. When I dont put a sequence I can hear the audio...

Could be that you're missing a codec for the audio... PM me, I'll help you trouble shoot it.[DOUBLEPOST=1443149726,1443146373][/DOUBLEPOST]

Sorry wouldn't let me message you back cause i don't have enough posts. I was going to say.

well i was thinking your computer could have been missing a codec... Basically it's how video and audio are compressed. But I was thinking that just the audio didn't work at all.

Have you tried running adobe updater? or even re-installing? could be just bad installation.

There was a new update today, maybe it wasn't updated properly. How can I undo it?

I recently got Premiere pro and I'm so overwhelmed I'm watching different tutorials to learn it ASAP. You mentioned the additional apps such as After Effects, how easy/complicated is that to learn it?

Keep in mind I used to use Movie Maker lol So this is a HUGE change for me!

The way I learned it was using the tutorials on the Adobe website, they have video tutorials for all their programs and they pretty much cover all features that they have. The tutorials are separated into different categories and start with the basics first so I definitely would suggest you check them out. In my opinion they are much better than watching random videos on YT or reading.

(to find them go to the Adobe app you want ---> Learn&Support ---> Show all tutorials)

I'd say the whole Adobe package is basically heaven for all things YouTube. Premiere Pro works great with After Effects and Photoshop, with in built layer support and other cool functionalities that you don't really get with Final Cut Pro X.
In their own regards, both are fantastic pieces of software, but I personally think Premiere Pro takes the victory here. It's very comprehensive but at the same time easy to use; and because it is the industry standard, there is a figuratively endless amount of resources you can reference to if you need help.

Adobe is the future!
