final cut pro tutorials?

I highly recommend pixelcorps videos- brilliant tutorials for Motion and Final Cut Pro :) I can't recommend these guys enough- the guy who does the Motion tutorials wrote a book on it! They're super easy to listen to and learn from- I recommend them to all!

Hi, friend! Creativecow.net also has good tutorials. Let me know how FCPX treats you. Though I use fcp 7, a lot of people here dislike X.

A lot of the knee-jerk reasons for not using FCPX are gone after updates (e.g. multicam editing exists again). But some still tend to avoid it. Personally, I find it ridiculously fast for the stuff I need to do. Though I'd probably be frustrated trying to set up advanced color grading, etc.

Yeah hopefully I can learn what I need to to finish my video today, thus far it seems to be running fine and I like the program I just keep relating it to imovie and while it's surprisingly similar they're just not the same.

I didn't know it's what you used!! I may have to bug you with questions when I run into walls hahahaha[DOUBLEPOST=1369146225,1369146178][/DOUBLEPOST]

I went there actually! I couldn't figure out which section of the channel was teaching final cut hahahaha their playlists didn't have a final cut pro section!

Oh yes they can be hard to find but so worth it, I promise!! :D I found another playlist on YT that links to all of their Final Cut Pro X videos- http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLTJa1o34Oay-LrhjK0DHfiLEPi0MD9NdL

I think most of their videos under MacBreak Studio are tutorials, but this playlist should be good to start with.

The best tutorial you'll ever have for Final Cut is just to use it...A LOT! Its really one of those things that having some explain it to you is helpful, but in the end its gonna be hard to follow. Just get yourself some footage sit down and play with in.

Though one tip, first thing you do go to system settings and set your damn capture scratch and all that s**t. Will save you ALOT of headaches oh and color correct is your friend

I'm glad I found this thread because yesterday I got the Final Cut Pro X and I can't wait to start playing with it. I always wanted to have a MacBook so I can finally work on better vids for YT.

The only reason I didn't use to take a real effort on my videos was because I didn't have such an awesome computer and software to do it. Thanks for all the links!!
