Always interesting to see hackers in their natural habitat, lol. What editing software are you using to render the videos, I might be able to help you fix the aspect ratio issue.
 
Ah, I use Premeire CS 5.5, so it should be basically the same thing. If you click a clip you're using, go to the Effects control section, then expand the "Movement"area, there should be a section where you can change the size %. I do this all the time because I usually shoot my vids in 1080, but then edit them in 720 so it's a smaller file to render and upload.
