Feeling Discouraged =/

AnnaLovesVlogging

I Love YTtalk
I love making videos and I enjoy meeting new people through YouTube. Lately though I've found it hard to enjoy the process of making videos. I feel like my channel is growing slowly and that people are only really watching my videos so I'll watch theirs. I know that people don't flock to your channel overnight, but I promote the crap out of my channel. Plus I've been on YouTube for almost three years now, and I've only reached 458 subscribers. Most people reach that point after only a year or so.

I just need to hear some encouraging words from people who have felt like this before. Or people who haven't. I just feel really discouraged.

The main thing is are you caught up in getting the numbers game of youtube or are you forgetting the fun aspect of youtubing.

Well, first of all Anna, your videos are awesome and really well-made so that should incentive enough to continue what you're doing. Another good point you made is that you love making videos and honestly that's the key ingredient to being successful on YouTube. Most of the YouTubers you see with a huge following usually got that way because they had that one big video that really connected with YouTube audience, or they have 'friends in high places' (i.e. other big YouTuber friends that can help them promote).

I feel like everyone goes through that point where they feel discouraged about their channels and their videos. Even the big YouTubers. Have you seen Charlie McDonalds latest video?
It's also not bad to take a break every once and while and recuperate and try to get your mojo back.

Good luck, and don't stress out about it too much :)

I was gonna say something, but everything has already been said above, so I got nothing. The most I can do is quote Stef, because everything there is true

Every word there is true.

seems like everyone else got it covered with their posts :D everyone feels a bit disenchanted sometimes but if you love making your vids then thats whats important :)

Your videos are actually so cute and well put together. I subscribed because you have a great YouTube personality. They're nice and simple. Keep it that way. Don't forget that you aren't the only person on YouTube as well. Comment on others videos, share yours on FB, Twitter, here, anything!

Keep it up :)
You're doing fine.

100% True. Listen to this advice Anna-Banana <3

Did you read the post I made where I was saying the same thing? I got 30 views after 3 days on one of my latest videos and I have 430 subs. I know I shouldn't look at it this way, but all I can think is "400 people saw my video and ignored it, they did NOT want to see it..." I know that's not how it really goes and it could be a number of many things, but it feels kinda like you're yelling into a hole and getting just a faint whisper back when you want a resounding "YES WE ARE HERE" I waffle in and out of confidence and worry all the time.

Sometimes I even feel like maybe I'm making a fool of myself, and everything i'm doing is stupid and pointless and I should give up, it's rare, but i've thought it a few times when I was really not getting much of a response. So no, you are not alone. And your channel is 3 years old to you dear, but it's brand spankin new to me and I think you're adorable and get alot of enjoyment out of your videos. Be encouraged, keep at it. Don't worry about numbers, remember how important you are. Remember how big your life is, and think about how there are little things in your life that mean alot to you, and it's a big deal that they mean alot to you. Think about the vloggers you watch and what they mean to you, now you gotta think. There are people watching you who get something from you too, even one person, watching one vlog, and coming away thinking "wow she really made my day I'm gonna keep watching her!"

That's huge. Cause one human life is like.. soooo big, and you have more than one, we don't know how many, but it could be like 200 who just don't always catch you in their feed who knows! If so, think of it like a concert. if you give a concert and 100 people show up? That's a good show! You're playing good shows, and all you do is talk. Be encouraged, don't give up, get excited, I know I'm paying attention to you :)

I just watched your Instagram video and I can honestly say that it would be a loss if you weren't on YouTube.
You have a good sense of humor and comedic timing, and your editing skills are top notch.
Keep it up, and keep honing your craft, and I'm sure you'll be successful.
