Feel like everything is against you?

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this or anything, but I just wanted to know if I wasn't alone in this..

Does it ever feel like everything about video creating isn't on your side at times? I set out today to be my day where I record a couple of videos, do some channel management and just have a nice day editing and making everything look good on my channel. When it's come to audio recording it's been okay, a couple of blips here and there, but when it came to recording footage, my camera is refusing to focus on my face and is just randomly focusing on other things in the background. I removed the background items and now everything is just blurry!

I ended up with an okay video shot and went to go and edit it, and now my editor is playing up and is randomly putting everything into slow-motion, or is losing it's 'sync' with the audio at random times when it's fine in the rest of the video... What was meant to be my nice productive day has turned into me getting very stressed and having nothing to show after hours of trying to work things out. To top it all off a little voice in my head is going 'Your channel sucks anyway.'

I'm never going to give up on my channel, it'd just be nice to know - have any of you had days like this where everything goes wrong and nothing seems to work when it comes to YouTube?

:banghead2: word vomit/rant over :smug:
Yes! For example I had to record the same video 3 times, the first time the camera didn't focus on my face in the intro the second and the third time I didn't realize how dark it was outside and the video turned out looking really dark. I was so upset that day I was working really hard on that video and it just seemed like everything was going wrong.

It really is the worst - tried recording the video 7 times today only for it to blur every single time. Took the best one and now I have a slightly out of focus video that I'm not sure is even worth putting up even though I love the song I sung..

I do have those days where everything seems to just not want to go my way. There have been plenty of times when I had planned to record something and my game capture software would just crash constantly. Or my audio software wants to not load. It happens quite often but when I realize something isn't working I just stop doing whatever it is I'm trying to do and find something else that I can do related to my channel. I either set up another time to do it or find something game related to talk about for a commentary. There's always you can do to provide an idea for content, so if my recording programs aren't working there is always something I can do.

I've had family staying for $%*£ing ages and couldn't record for about five weeks, Monday onwards I've been free to film and I've had nothing but problems all damn week. I've nearly broken down in tears twice in the past hour ad litrally came to YTTalk to commiserate with others and saw this thread. Don't feel quite so alone now~

It's one of the reasons I quit ages ago. Set some time aside. Record a session. Audio has screwed up. Forgot to click record on video.
Might not be relevant but I sometimes flick through Youtube to see what unique videos I could make. I had a game called Trials that non of the "Big YouTubers" were uploading.
Recorded and Edited a full series. The day before I was about to upload. Pretty much all the "Big YouTubers" had it uploaded and dominating the search results.
It's really difficult to stand out from the crows when the rest of the crowd is 50ft tall.

Believe me you're not alone. I can't tell you how many times I've been uploading a video to my desktop and my computer has died. As a matter of fact I was really worried I wasn't going to be able to make it for my weekly video because my charger died and my computer was acting up. Luckily my roommate has a mac charger but it's definitely been a struggle.

For the most part, the videos I release aren't the product I want to release but it would be the 20skmethingth take and I'd be fed up to the point that "okay" is good enough for publishing. Just hang in there. We all have days like this
