Feedback on new YT banner

WilliamRayWalters

I Love YTtalk
If you could check out the new banner I'm working on and give me your general impressions I'd appreciate it. I just want to make sure it looks clean and not too amateurish. I do not need the banner to convey anything with regard to the content of my channel...it's just there to replace the nothing that was there prior and to look nice.

I plan on hiring someone for to do an intro/outro but I figured I'd take a go at the banner myself.

Anyway, let me know what you think. Thank you in advance.

I like it, I'm not really sure what your channel premise is, since it's kinda just different random stuff, but it looks very formal and professional, so if that's the style you were going for, I think it gets the job done nicely!

Thanks! Yeah I've decided to revive this channel and try to make it into something with somewhat of a primary focus. We'll see. Yeah I just wanted it to look clean. I'm not good at all the layering and stuff that some of the pros do with their banner art, so i kept it simple.

Hi I really like the style. What I do find the contrast is too thin... It's a bit darkish and not too flashy. I preferably would see it flashier.

What I do think what could work is: Make the brown-red slightly lighter (more red) and/or make the white-grey text more white...

Good luck :D

The red color itself is actually brighter but the pattern fill later is horizontal black lines and darkens it. It was actually darker and I tweaked it but any lighter made the texture look worse. I'll try making the original color lighter and then with the pattern overlay it might look exactly how I want, which is only a little brighter than it is now to be honest. I wanted to shift it a little darker because my focus might end up being those ghost videos (especially since actual creepy stuff has been going on around my house lately) :-O

lol

Then your idea is a bit better, if ghosty is what you want :).
