Favourite type of vlog?

As an aspiring vlogger on the old youtube I'm willing to talk about a broad range of subjects and try out different styles of videos to increase my reach and keep things interesting: I did my latest video about superpowers!

And so I was wondering, for all the other vloggers out there, what's your favourite type of video/vlog to make?
I really like doing ones where I can allow my sense of humour to shine through, while ultimately convey a message/opinion that I either felt necessary to share or just wanted to for the hell of it!

If you're not a vlogger yourself, than what's your favourite type of vlog to watch, that is if you do watch them lol.
I could quite honestly watch any type of vlog as long as it wasn't literally a person describing their day or about make-up/fashion :P As long as I find it entertaining, I'm willing to watch more of it!

I always enjoy the jump cut type vlogs.
Most of the time it can be about anything but I always prefer originality.
I'm subscribed to a lot of vloggers and most of the time I always see the same kind of videos: Emojis in thumbnails, tags/challenges, 10 types of people and impressions.
There's still a chance that I might watch those videos, a big chance if you're one of my favourite YouTubers.
It's not that if people put emojis in their thumbnails that I won't watch their video, but everyone is doing it now and it's always the same thing most of the time.
Telling funny stories or just regular stories, randomness, jokes or just expressing yourself are fun things to watch.
Also the kind of vlogs where you show us things that you do outside of YouTube but most of the time I only watch that if it's one of my favourite YouTubers.

That's kinda what I like to watch on YouTube. lol

Yeah, all the tag videos can get annoying, luckily that trend has seemed to die down quite a lot, nearly completely!
It's also good when you can tell the person is either clearly enjoying doing the video or really wanted to express themselves, makes me inspired for my own stuff :)

I just like any kind of opinion piece vlog like Andre from blacknerdcomedy, AlphaOmegaSin or Boogie2988.

It's also what I do myself. :P

I just like hearing other's opinions on new movies and games and different news.
 
I think once you find your favourite creators, you tend to stick with them through thick and thin.
A winning personality just seems to shine through.
I'd say being genuine with your audience and not trying to put on a persona (which is usually easy to spot) is the most important thing.

Yeah, don't know what it is but hearing other people express their own opinion on something is just very entertaining!
One of my favourites for movies/video games is Jeremy Jahns. He was part of the reason why I started my own little series of vlogs about films :)

Yeah that's another thing I was meant to say in my original post: I think I've definitely got quite a firm grip on what my style of presenting a video is, but I think I'm not quite there yet with the actual style of video. I'm getting close though, and as long as I'm enjoying it I'm not too fussed :)

Trying to Vlog about popular topics is a great way to increase the chances of getting your name out there. But I think a lot of folks watch Vloggers for the person doing the Vlogging, not so much the topic at hand.

Yeah, I could certainly try and talk more about current topics, that's one thing that I haven't really done at all now I think about it haha.
And yes, I'd agree with you on that one. Definitely seems like most people watching Dan and Phil, or jacksgap etc are because they think they're cute or whatever :P

We make daily vlogs because we wanted to show people (our friends in particular) our lives in Bahrain and then in England for university.. but also to remember our relationship. We also do challenge videos, travel videos, advice videos - it all depends on how we feel!
