What do you all think about the names that some youtubers give to their subscribers? (Example: berries, swamp family, unicorns...)
If you do this how did you come up with your name?
I have not really got a name for my viewers. I am not a huge fan of the name fan for channels.
(See what I did there ) But a random name off the top of my head could be my Fireshockers maybe lol
I agree with this, I think it's just an all round demeaning term to use towards people who are helping you. It just get a sense of narcissism from a person who uses it aswell. I much prefer the word supporters because it is a lot more accurate and respectful.
I would never give the people who watch my videos a universal name, they are all people and they all have names. I don't need to call them something collectively for the simple fact that I don't feel the need to alter their identity so it appeases me.
I called mine the duck army, my avatar is called duckie and he's the main "brand" for my channel so to speak.
I think it's rather effective in establishing a sense of "being a part of the team" as a viewer ;P
I have thought about it but I don't really know. If some of them want a name, they can have one and if others don't like the idea, they don't have to use it, will be the thing I go with (most likely) I just call them my internet friends anyway
