Fan Funding on Youtube

So I was going over my youtube settings and I discovered I had the ability to enable fan funding. The more I thought about it, it got me thinking if people that actually watch my videos would get offended because they might think im just doing it for the money, or if it doesn't look right because I have a small channel.. What do you guys think?
 
I don't see how it would hurt your channel, in my opinion. It's just there for people who do want to support your channel (correct me if I'm wrong). I'm sure more people are going to use it as YouTube brings in the subscription ad removal.
 
I don't think it would negatively impact your channel, but I doubt many people would give money when you're small, so it's kinda pointless.

Personally I plan on waiting until I have a decent sub-count (if that ever happens) and then making a big announcement video about enabling it, which would hopefully motivate more people to give something...
 
I don't think it would hurt your channel/video if you really wanted to put it up there :) but I personally wouldn't as my channel is still small & I don't want to come off as someone only in it for the money haha & very much doubt anyone would contribute at this stage :P
 
honestly just go for it, i mean what are they gonna do, think its bad? lol if your a small channel they understand that funding is for you to grow, if your a huge channel thats for you to maintain, until your just so big your full time is youtube and your living lavishly at that point then its like extra side cash for you to buy your supplements :) but other then that do it haha im doing it for sure
 
You know. I never really want to have a donation site specifically for Youtube. But I also want a croud-funding service that would be for both Twitch (a video-game/competitive e-sport streaming service in case you never heard) and for Youtube. I can't help but criticized Youtube is starting to become pretty dreadful and awful. But on Twitch... That a different story.

Speaking of fan funding sites. I would check out Patreon if you want to let people donate to you and support creators like you.

Due to a lack of audience, I probably would want to give it a pass. Perhaps I might give it a try at some point. But it depends.
