Facecam?

So I've been wondering this for awhile and haven't had luck figuring out how to do this myself, so I figured you lovely geniuses could help me out. I really want to play scary games and do it with a facecam as well, the problem is I don't know what I'd need to do in order to make a facecam video, besides using either my webcam or a video camera to record it. I really just need to know what type of editing program I'd need to do this:happy:
Thanks in advance!

You can record using OBS which is pretty handy! There's a bunch of great tutorials on how to use it too if you don't already know how. I'm using Windows Movie Maker to capture my facecam & then Sony Vegas Pro 12 to edit it into my videos :D

I use OBS to record my face, back in the day I used Movie Maker to just record my face and voice and for the gameplay I use Fraps. After that I import both files into Adobe Premiere, change the size of my facecam files and drag it into to corner, sync the gameplay with my facecam and voila!

yeah pretty much

I'm not sure what gamers do to record what they are doing on the screen, BUT what I would do for the face cam is simply use a camera that is pointing towards your face. In terms of your editing question, if it were me I'd use Final Cut Pro X and import both the footage from the camera on my face, and the video game footage. I'd then make the footage of my face really small, and keep it in the bottom corner while the video game footage is the main focus.

Not sure if that was super confusing or not, hope it helped! If it was confusing, feel free to tell me and I can try to be more clear :)

Do you know any great cheap vlogging cameras?[DOUBLEPOST=1415914075,1415914025][/DOUBLEPOST]In fact, if you're familiar with cameras please list the best (vlogging cams) regardless of price!

Quite honestly, I'd get any decent point and shoot camera that has HD video. If that's what you're going to be using the camera for, I wouldn't foresee you needing anything super fancy.

Yeah, like a one handed type, that on the go vloggers use mostly :) Any preferences in makes or models?
