Facebook Fear

I didn't share on my personal facebook at the beginning and I'm really glad that I made that decision. In fact, I still haven't shared there.

My videos were awful at the start. I cringe when I think about them. The youtube growing pains were not something that I wanted to share with everyone I ever knew from my past.

I told close friends that I trust, and that was it.

So it's a personal decision. Don't take advice from people who say, "definitely do it,". You can grow without having your grandma and that one kid from freshmen history class see your content.

Set up a disconnected fan page in any event

Definitely promote your contents to relevant communities out there on Facebook, I got many positive feedbacks from doing so ;)

Just make sure you check the culture and rules of the communities first before promoting your contents there and make sure it's not against popular opinion to promote videos there.

How do people feel about promoting their channel via Facebook? I feel it's a much more vulnerable task! I'd much rather converse with absolute strangers about my content. Mainly because I guess they're less likely to sugar coat their words. Thoughts?
i know what you mean man because i was the exact same i was scared to show my content to all my friends because i was scared of being made fun of but once i did people were really supportive and said i was good at it

I think you can put out your video. But be invovled as everyone else try to not spam and dont post right away comment like than post 1 video. And get involved again.

Why shut off another avenue for people to see your videos? I post on both a personal facebook and a page because I know my family members share my videos when I do. I'm a singer too and that's the best way to get our work out there, imo :) I know it's really scary and hard to put yourself out there, but just by singing your music and posting it online, you're already putting yourself waaay out there. So why not share your talent with people on your personal facebook? I've never gotten a negative response from doing so, just shares and likes and nice convos about music lol.

I made a facebook page for my channel but im struggling to get people to watch it.
I mosty use twitter and google+ but facebook is harder for me.

If you cannot even share it with your real friends, how the hell would you show it to hundred of people online ?

Listen to ChrisLegend ! Get ou there ! DO IT !

Maybe it's just me, but I don't think I even really want my friends and family looking at my stuff. I have a small educational niche though and none of my friends are really nerdy like I am and so it's just not their feedback I'm looking for.
