I've Got It
I've been thinking about reviving my gaming channel and maybe using face-cam in some vids. Does it add something or is it an unecessary feature? Let me know what you think

If your main priority is channel growth, then yes.

If you have any sort of personal reason for not including it, then that's something you need to consider.

before my mic broke to do a gaming video i actually did try it out (still unfinished haha) and i think it stands out more. if people no what you look like also they will remember you and know they're your videos without having to look below it.

wait how does it make your channel grow more?

and it doesn't add anything in my opinion like Mark does videos with a facecam but Nova doesn't. Just a matter of wanting to or not

i would only add facecam (this is how i do it) if it's game or a series were my emotions, or reactions are clear and big.

it's not interesting in seeing a person staring at a screen talking, then i would rather just have the sound, and not the cam.
but if there is a bunch of reactions, or you use it in that catches the viewers (see Pewdiepie and you'll get it), then it'll fine to use

i normally only add it for my horror series :)

Yeah I understand, I was only really going to initially use it for games that were quick and made me react, I won't be using it for any campaign stuff as it'll probably just be me staring at a screen :p

Yeah I wouldn't want to watch a face cam of a guy looking like this:

:|

Hence face cams are best suited for reaction videos, etc. It makes the audience laugh at your reaction, and stuff like that.

I'm too lazy to read everyone elses posts, so if this is a repeat, I'm sorry.

I believe it subconsciously allows the user to enter a personal level with the video creator. To see their emotions, their mannerisms, will show the creator on a different level that people really like.
