Extracting Audio Streams

Hi, I currently use Yamb to extract the game and mic audio streams from MP4 but it finishes in AAC format and my editing software cant import AAC. So I want to know what people use to extract audio streams? Or a program you can download to convert to AAC to MP3, WAV, M4A or WMA.

So, you extract the sound from the mp4? Audacity can do that (after you install the FFMpeg and LAME codecs), just drag in the .mp4 file and export as .mp3.

Audacity can also convert from AAC to MP3, afaik. It's also just a good all around audio editor.
