Everything I do records views

It used to be that I could go to the edit screen to get the url or add/remove tags or whatever and it wouldn't record a view. I mean, it shouldn't since the video doesn't play, right?. But now it records a view every time. My latest video has like zero views but it says it has 6 because it records a view every time I try to do something. It's so annoying! :stomp:

I wouldn't worry about it. Either YouTube will clear it up or...well, it's not like you're going in 5,000 times or anything. If I could, I'd probably do that on bad days when I think nobody is watching, LOL! :)

Yeah I have that problem too! I just ended up not clicking on my videos at all once they're uploaded since I can usually do everything I need to from the Creator Studio.

That's what I'm doing, though. I'm not actually watching my videos. I'm using the creator studio and it's still acting like I viewed them. It's lying to everyone, lol.

It may add views when the video loads for annotations/cards/subtitles? I find it annoying too but as others said, it gets corrected. Less than a day after upload I always see some views subtracted and I guess those were my own views.

This has been happening to me too, except I didn't realize it at first. But then I'd see my new videos decrease 10-20 views the next day, which was confusing and super disappointing. Until I realized every time I edited it (even in creator studio) it counted as a view on the first day.

So yeah, I wish it didn't happen in the first place, but youtube will adjust it.

I have not noticed this happen to me, as people are saying youtube will eventually remove those views so no need to worry
