Ever Had a Viral Video?

I wouldn't mind something of mine going viral. I thought this one would :P


Since the whole of the UK, Social Media sites and everything is going bonkers over the matter lol But 1.8k views in 2 days now isn't bad :D

I knew it all those Years that I`m doing something wrong. Thanks for the Hint. I will now replace every of my Thumbnails on my Channel. j/k

One of my first videos went viral and basically never stopped. It got practically zero views for about 6 months then took off; to this day it still gets the most views with 5,000,000 and counting. I have made others that are nearing a million, but I wouldn't say those went viral, they were just popular. Anyway look at this, just shows a video doesn't necessarily have to go viral right away.

There are definitely two kind of Viral. One is hitting right after you upload a Video in less then One Day and those that comes after Months when you don`t even expect anything from that Video. I guess it`s save to say that your One is more of the second kind :)
 
As much as it would be awesome I'd hate for something,like that to make me "youtube famous" I'd rather people like me for me not just one video :P
 
I agree with there being different kinds of viral. Here's a few examples of 3 of my videos. (I don't have 15 posts yet and can't post pictures, so please copy & paste the 3 links below to see the graphs):

"Falkor Likes Children" was featured on G4's Attack of the Show with Kevin Pereira almost immediately after I posted the video. The initial effect is obvious, but it has definitely tapered off since then:

"NES Atlas: SMB (World 1-1)" was briefly insanely popular in a single country. I believe this graph is saying my video was more popular than 92.4% of all other videos viewed in Japan on this day. Unfortunately, I don't think YouTube offers stats on regional popularity anymore:

And finally, what about a popular video that is suddenly taken down?

"Dueling Banjos: Insane Edition" is my own example of this. It is of the "long haul" viral types that, while never having a single "ah hah!" moment where a famous site or tweet drove views, but rather it was the viewers who kept up the hype by continually sharing with their friends. Sadly, one fateful day I got the email that it had pranked it's final victim:

One of my videos got simi-viral when it got 100 views in one week which is awesome for a small youtuber like me
