English content = French viewers ? Wth?

Hi yttalkers, so my case is a bit peculiar : I'm a french person uploading English content.
But, here's the problem, I've been checking my viewer base by demographics and found out that, lately, most people who click on my videos come from France.
The actual minutes watched are always around 1 minutes or less, which is understandable : You click on a video > The video is on a language you don't understand > You click away.
Is there a way to make sure my videos aren't targeted to people who won't understand them?
Maybe in the upload location option?
 
The Netherlands are at #2 in my demographics chart as well (after USA), and I'm Dutch. I think Youtube automatically tries to make channels from your own country come up higher on the search results/recommendations.
And as you know, my content is in English as well. xP
 
Im not sure if you can set a video location, but if you view YouTube in French and upload it with that setting then it might be more likely to show up for people living in France. There also might be nothing you can do about it, if you live in france it might just automatically put it as a recommended in other peoples videos if they live in france too. So there is nothing you can do about it I think
 
Just to let you know your own views are also counted on YT's statistics so if you've been looking at your own videos a lot checking quality and whatnot then there's a good chance that those views which are less than 1 minute are actually you.
 
You're probably going to rely on a French audience.
I get views from uk and the us, but I get likes and favourites from Ukraine, Mexico, etc
 
YouTube tries to market yor videos to people in France because you're from there. It's using this that PewDiePie got famous. And when he moved to Italy they marketed to both Italy, because of his IP address, and Sweden, because of his channel information.
