This is not the answer. What file format are you saving the video in, in your elgato settings.Your computer might not meet requirements or you might have a faulty device you should turn the bit rate to max to prevent pixilation and you should and the play back option can be reenabled in the settings!
After you record something can you open the file and view what you recorded? Make sure you make a separate folder named elgato and don't move your video files around before editing.I bought a new computer and all the problems are fixed except that my video editing software says the video files I created with the elgato have no video data
I can put them and watch them in every program except corel video studio pro x6After you record something can you open the file and view what you recorded? Make sure you make a separate folder named elgato and don't move your video files around before editing.
What editing program are you using? Make sure your project preferences in your editing program are around the same as your recording (1280x720 - 720p or 1920x1080 - 1080p). Make sure you have an aspect ratio set as 16:9 for widescreen. Just make sure to look up "(your editing software) setup" to help get the settings right.
It sounds like the problem is in the settings of corel video studio. Can you play any other videos in corel video studio? Try downloading a video from youtube "YTD video download" and insert it in there and see if that plays ok or not? It could be in your preview settings?I can put them and watch them in every program except corel video studio pro x6
