ELGATO Game Capture HD Problems

First of all, the playback recording feature has disappeared...

Also this happens every time I try to record, the video glitches out and looks ugly as f*ck. The sound is also sometimes off from the video.

So any help? I care more about the video being unusable than the playback recording disappearing but a solution to either one would be helpful. :D
 
Have you checked all the connections and secure and have checked that all connections are clean no dust or muck is in connections also

if all the above is fine unintall the software and reinstall it
 
To be honest i use the Elgato and have had no issues with it but if i was in your situation these are the steps i would take to see if it would sort it out.

Only other thing i could thing of i possible a damaged cable try and replace them see if that works if it does not you may need a new Elgato but before doing that i would contact Elgato support to see if they could be of any assistance
 
Did you ever contact support and get an answer on this? Curious to see what the problem is.
 
to get the flashback recording, click the cog wheel at the top of the screen above the capture and edit tabs. then there should be a checkbox that says enable flashback recording, so make sure the box is checked. In terms of the glitchyness, I had the same problem earlier today and all I did was shut down my computer, turn it back on and it was recording fine again. You may have had too many things running, causing your computer to be bogged down

Do you have a really good computer and HD TV? I had a lot of problems with my elgato. My computer was way under elgato's minimum requirements. As soon as I bought a new computer it works great now!

I bought a new computer and all the problems are fixed except that my video editing software says the video files I created with the elgato have no video data
