So when you type in "how to tie a tie." for example, the only way YouTube would know which videos to show is based on the title, tags and description and of course the views and subs, comments etc help it rank higher. If someone posts a 4 minute video with "how to tie a tie" in the title and description but the average watch time is only 10 seconds. YouTube will then catch on that you are using misleading tags and description and could take further action including suspension if necessary. Another advantage to using the description is that if there is something unclear in your video if you clarify it in the description and people read the description they might be less confused .

My point was simply that it was silly to have the words in the description count for SEO when you already have tags.

Sorry if I seem stupid. But from reading his description, it doesn't seem like he is actually breaking the rules. Also since he is a bigger channel he is probably being reported ... a lot. Although I agree that due to him being bigger google will probably be more lenient.

To be honest, I've never checked out his channel.

I've seen a lot of other large channels do it though. I'd say you are right about being lenient, the longer these channels are down, the less $$ they bring in.

Wait RclBeauty was banned? I don't she has ever been suspended yet. Eleventh Gorgeous got suspended and they are a completely separate channel run by different people.

If you get 2 consecutive community strikes you will automatically get "Banned" from YouTube for 2 weeks, happened to me once, really sucks when you cant watch any of your subscriptions videos cause you cant even use your account
