El Gato = Good or Bad Investment?

The elgato is one of the best video game capture card on the markets, if you searched a little in this forum, you would find very many reviews on it.

it records game audio if you have a mic hooked into your laptop y0u cna live commentate

If you have the money to spare, I would get it. Otherwise you could get yourself something like the Roxio for less cost.

Elgato is great and works on 360/PS3 and next gen consoles. I had an old Hauppauge PVR that has been great for my old fat original 360 (it only has component cables, no HDMI) and I was pleased that the Elgato works with that too.
