Educative side of Youtube?

I mostly go to learn about new editing software or about a particular feature. Whether it's audio, video, or graphical, youtube is always the end of my journey for information because I'm both a visual and applied learner.

For sure! I learn tons of stuff about the fitness industry all the time. I also enjoy the channel called Video Creators that talks about everything surrounding YouTube/being a creator/etc. I just love YouTube.

What are your thoughts? Do you think youtube has an educative side and teaches us values necessary for life? And basically educates us in various aspects
Of course, I've learned all kinds of stuff on YouTube. I learned how to replace a side mirror on my last car, some fantastic painting tips.

Tips on photography, and just too much cool stuff to name. I also give value because I help people make tasty food and learn kitchen techniques.

I'm going to say this though, and this is just my personal opinion. I think people who actually teach people stuff of value (other than Hank and John Green, and the Vsauce crowd) don't get enough recognition for what they do on YouTube. Music lessons, singing lessons, people really teaching foreign languages, etc. It's like a whole different amazing side of YouTube.

Definitely - not only did I learn most of my science and biology from Youtube, I also learnt many life lessons from popular Youtubers. Although many of them already have the money to live the fabulous life they want, they have taught me to go for what I want, never give up and basically enjoy life to the fullest. Cheesy but worth knowing! :)

Well I myself really enjoy some of youtubes education channels. I am an avid watcher of sci show, minute physics, minute earth, numberphile, vsauce, and Thunderf00t.

YouTube as a thing no, but the YouTubing community yes

I now know how to murder someone with no evidence or witnesses, how to lock ip a car, how to drive, what happens when a can of coke or a human person meets lava and so many other things all thanks to the content creators, without them YouTube is nothing

I love YouTube for tutorials, if I want to find out various things.. I'd go to YouTube. And it's good for reviews as well. :D

Also I'd make tutorials myself and upload them to my YouTube.

In terms of watching stuff? I guess tutorials are the education side of YouTube. In terms of being a content creator? I've learned how to be a sort of jack of all trades.

I must say I learned a LOT from YouTube. Not even software-wise only. If you watch my first video and my videos now, I must say I have become a lot more confident about myself and I can talk much better in public now. Before I was just shy, but now I have that a lot less.

Also editing, learning about video files and formats helped me out a lot on other projects!
