Hello i am kinda new to the youtube community as in editing wise. I have a channel for video games and i do live play through commentarys. i was wondering if anyone could help me decide on if i should use a editing software with more capabilitys or start of little. At the moment i use cyberlink powerdirector 11 and i love it but it cant do some of the thing i want it to. and some thing it can do but take hours to do.

Welcome here to the community and what exactly do you want it to do? I use cyberlink youcam with my hp laptop and my phones hd camera

Starting off with sony vegas would be better. Its easy to use and you might as well get use to it if your going to be editing.

all i need the program to do is be able to do pictuce in picture so i can do dual view game plays. and with that the picture in picture needs to be able to switch so the one that was smaller can switch to the bigger picture. and also effects (thats not a big deal tho) and i would just need like video enhancing effects.

Yeah than sony vegas would be good for you.

If you want to start off with something good and affordable, try Sony Movie Studio 12. It's only about $40 on Amazon and it's got most of the capabilities that Sony Vegag has (without the extra digit at the end on the price). I have Sony Movie Studio Platinum Suite which comes with a simple audio program 'Soundforger'. It is a very basic tool but I find it useful at times. I used it to create my very first intro sounds for my earlier videos.

Sony Vegas Pro. If you REALLY want to you can Pirate, but it's not worth it. You can use a trial, and just uninstall and reinstall every 30 days.
