Editing Noob =(

I'd recommend wevideo.com. It's quick and easy video editing on your browser and they offer some cool-looking transitions, text, and filters. Easy peasy!

I use Sony Vegas, It is easy to learn if you play around in it and will render in 1080p. It also has a suite of video effects that you can use in your videos. I also know people Adobe which is similar but I have never tried it myself. Free Video editing software is ok for basic use though they are very limited.

Good video software will allow you to setup Outro videos for annotations and add in intro videos if you get someone to create them for you.

I have heard that Song Vegas or Adobe Premiere was very simple to use. But this all varies on what you're editing, such as a short movie or video blog. Final Cut is what I use and love editing on that. For beginners though, I say imovie, in my humble opinion.
